Why should I use this service?

Can I try Age Verify UK for free?

Yes, we offer a free trial of the service here which does not require you to set up an account.

How do I pay for the Age Verify UK service?

To start using the service simply register for an account, then buy a block of age checks. When you are running low on age checks you can simply buy more to top up your balance at any time. We accept all major credit and debit cards (with the exception of AMEX) and PayPal.

Why do I need an account?

Once you have registered for an Age Verify UK account you will not need to give your details again. You will then be able to ‘self-serve’ to buy extra age checks whenever you need them. Once logged in you will also be able to see a dashboard of your usage information and payment history.

Do I have to sign up to a contract?

No. With AgeVerifyUK there is no minimum commitment or contract. However, when you create an AgeVerifyUK account and buy a block of age checks, you must adhere to our standard terms and conditions.

Who is Age Verify UK for?

It is for any company or organisation that sells age-restricted products or services to UK customers. Examples of age-restricted products include alcohol, cigarettes and vapes, prescription medicines, kitchen knives, and gambling services.

How does Age Verify UK work?

Your customer’s name and address details are matched against our vast database of UK people and a result is returned that tells you if the customer is aged 18 or over.

How long do my credits last?

Age checks expire 12 months after the purchase date.

Why does it mention Simunix on my payment statement?

Transactions made on AgeVerifyUK.com will contain 'Simunix' in the transaction description of your statement. Simunix is the parent company that owns and maintains AgeVerifyUK.com. If another company name appears you will need to contact them to pursue your enquiry further. If the transaction description does show 'Simunix' and you don't remember buying ageverifyuk.com age checks please send an email to info@ageverifyuk.com.

Who are Simunix?

Simunix offer searching and verification solutions using accurate and current UK people and businesses information. As well as AgeVerifyUK.com we operate ukphonebook.com an online directory and the API T2A.io.

If a customer is not age verified do I still get charged?

If we have found a match of the customer’s details and it is found they are under 18, you will be charged as the system has performed a check and returned an answer of ‘Found – not verified’. Selling an age-restricted item to an underage person will have been avoided. In the rare event we cannot find a match of the customer’s details in our UK data you will not be charged for that check.

What if I run out of age verifications?

We send automated notifications and email warnings when your balance is running low.

Why do only UK customers get age verified?

AgeVerifyUK uses licensed UK data to perform it’s verification service. For this reason, AgeVerifyUK cannot perform age verifications on customers living outside the UK.
